| Hello and thanks for inquiring about
my counseling services. Please be assured that I aspire to give the
highest quality care professionally and ethically. My approach is
generally cognitive behavioral; serving individuals, couples and
families. I refer to myself as a community counselor, because I work well with physicians, psychologists, school personnel, families, and attorneys when my clients deem it necessary. I focus on making my clients comfortable and establishing trust; in 2007, 99% of my new clients returned after the initial session. |

| Credentials |

Dr. Shollenberger has an earned doctorate in the field of counseling from an accredited university. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (L.P.C.), licensed in the state of Pennsylvania. Dr. Shollenberger has been practicing for nearly a quarter century and is Board Certified in Counseling. He has numerous certifications, not limited to Relationship Enhancement Therapy, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Therapy, and Hypnosis. Dr. Shollenberger has taught psychology related courses for six colleges and universities. He publishes and lectures regularly.

| With two and a half decades of experience, I have many specialties. Broadly speaking, I use much cognitive behavioral techniques with adolescents and adults. Some of the more popular reasons clients seek my assistance is for help with anxiety, depression, AD(H)D, eating disorders, trauma, anger management, legal concerns, divorce recovery, blended families, professional concerns, academic concerns, addictions such as alcohol, internet, sexual, and gambling. |

| Dr. Matt Shollenberger has decades of experience with many different populations. In the 1980's he earned a B.A. in sociology and psychology while working with college students and later with children and adolescents in counseling settings. Later, he earned a Master's degree in Counseling, worked as an intern in the Albright College Counseling Department, and began a teaching career for many different colleges. In the 1990's he worked for a rehab affiliated with Johns Hopkins Hospital's Department of Psychiatry while teaching psychology-related courses for local colleges such as University of Baltimore. In the mid 1990's, he was awarded a scholarship to pursue his doctorate. While studying, Matt Shollenberger spent a year working in the Virginia Tech Counseling Department, and later began teaching nearly five years in the graduate department of Wilmington University. He provided family therapy in the northern Delaware area for five years until he began running a behavioral and mental health clinic. For the past nearly six years, Matt has owned his own private practice. Matt sees himself as a community counselor that works with school personnel, physicians, lawyers, and family members when deemed necessary by his clients. |
